Back when cruising on a 2 lane was just that a cruise. Lord knows you couldn't feel a bump in the road in this beauty. Look at that hood ornament. Like a skewer for any pedestrian unfortunate enough to walk out in front of your richness. God I love it

My father has one- you had the option of the swan hood ornament OR an oil filter.

Obviously his has a swan.

If you wanted top level luxury the traditionalist still saw Packard as the only real option I believe. Caddy, Lincoln, Chrysler were all fighting for Packards place. Cadillac of course eventually won.
